Healthy Tuna Patties

Hey friends!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I felt like I needed a small break so I could focus on school – I’ve had quite a few quizzes and assignments due lately. Anyway, I’m super excited to share this recipe with you all! As you know, I’ve been trying to eat healthier by fueling my body with nutrient dense foods, but I was getting so tired of eating the same things over and over again. I decided to throw together this quick and simple recipe to change up my weekly routine.

These tuna patties are so easy to make, so good to eat and much better for you than some other recipes I’ve seen. There’s no mayo or soy sauce, but they still taste great! I  promise that eating healthy doesn’t have to be bland or boring!

Ingredients:

  • 5, 5 oz. cans of tuna
  • 1 c. almond flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp. stone ground mustard
  • 1/3 c. chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp. chopped garlic
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (I used avocado oil because it has a high smoke point)

Mix all ingredients together until evenly combined. Begin to form the mixture into patties. (If you make them too thin, they may break apart when you try to flip them.)

Coat a pan with some oil and turn your stove on medium-high heat. Place the patties on the pan and cook on each side for 3-5 minutes, or until browned. Remove from heat and serve!

I hope you enjoy these tuna patties as a change from your usual meal prep!

Naturally,

Ari
