Subscription Saturday: Varieteas

Hey friends!

Welcome to the second week of my Subscription Saturday series! Last week was the first week of this series and I went over the details behind it in this post! Just to refresh you, here’s a little tidbit from that post on what you should expect:

“I’ll be sharing those [gift and subscription services] that align with health or wellness in some form or another. So you’ll see a wide range of boxes that offer organic and/or natural products, that promote a healthy and active lifestyle, that support mental, spiritual or emotional wellness, that bring awareness to a good cause, and that are locally sourced and support small businesses.”

This week, I’m sharing a super fun subscription service – tea lovers, this one is for you! Say hello to your new favorite tea, Varieteas!

Varieteas is a subscription-based tea service that sends you three different loose-leaf teas each month. These teas vary in flavor, type, and caffeine content. Varieteas was created by two childhood friends who were searching for natural, high-quality teas without the overwhelming feeling of having to sort through all of the premium options on the market. Varieteas makes it easy for you to try a variety of different high-quality, natural teas so you can find what’s right for you! Each month, they send three different, loose-leaf teas to your doorstep. You can get the box or the minis! The monthly bags in the box create about 20 cups of tea per bag, and the minis create about 10 cups per bag! So weather you’re a tea guru or totally new to tea, Varieteas has the perfect plan for you!

This month, I received their Blood Orange, White Peony and Moonlight loose-leaf tea minis and a loose-leaf tea steeper.

Blood Orange

The blood orange tea is so refreshing! I love that there is a prominent orange presence and that the tea tastes so fruity and juicy! According to their website, here’s the flavor profile, caffeine content and steep instructions:

“Blood Orange is a culinary favorite, with its deep vibrant color and sweet, tangy flavor. A perfect ingredient for a refreshing herbal blend! Our Blood Orange tea pairs blood orange peels with hibiscus flowers and rose hips for a naturally sweet, caffeine-free flavor. Rich, hearty and tangy, with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness (Caffeine Level: No Caffeine| Steep at 212° for 5-10 minutes)”

White Peony

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers so I was so excited to see this tea in my package. It has a fresh, floral taste and is very soothing! According to their website, here’s the flavor profile, caffeine content and steep instructions:

“White Peony is a sweet, mild Chinese tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. The freshly harvested leaf is allowed to wither dry in the sun. The natural oxidation that takes place during this withering gives White Peony beautiful, plush flavors (Caffeine Level: Low | Steep at 180° for 3-5 minutes)”

Moonlight

This tea was my absolute favorite! It was so light, smooth and fragrant. I can’t get enough of this tea and can’t wait to order more off their website! According to their website, here’s the flavor profile, caffeine content and steep instructions:

“Moonlight has comforting flavors of vanilla and cream combine to soften the citrus notes of traditional Earl Grey. Your taste buds will swoon at first sip of our Moonlight Tea (Caffeine Level: High | Steep at 212° for 3 minutes)”

These teas are the perfect fit for my busy lifestyle. As someone who sometimes needs a quick caffeine boost, these teas were perfect! For the days where I don’t need the caffeine, I was able to enjoy the decaffeinated teas. I love tea, but don’t always think to make a cup, so I have a ton of tea just laying around. But these were perfect because it makes enough for one cup a day for the entire month, which is all I really need! I love that these teas fit in with a natural lifestyle and that the flavors are unique and so delicious!

I love to enjoy these teas in their natural form, but I love to make coconut oil lattes. Usually I make these with coffee but I created one using the moonlight tea and I’m hooked! To make it, blend the following ingredients together in the blender for a yummy, healthy, frothy drink!

  • 1 cup of steeped tea (I used Moonlight)
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1 scoop collagen powder (I use Further Foods)
  • 1/2 c. plant based milk (I like Ripple)

Varieteas has been super generous and is hosting a giveaway on my Instagram, where TWO lucky winners will be sent a set of tea minis (a month’s supply of their teas)! You can also use the code NATURALLYARI for 30% your order on their website! Be sure to show their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter some love for being so kind to us! <3

I’d love to hear your favorite tea flavors and how you enjoy your tea!

Naturally,

Ari
